Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: The Impact of Advisory Services on Growth in Rubirizi District, Uganda

ABSTRACT
This study investigates the influence of advisory services on the growth of women entrepreneurship in Rubirizi District, Uganda. Drawing upon the resource-based theory, the research examines the extent to which advisory services provided by Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) affect women’s entrepreneurial endeavors. Data was collected from a sample of 361 respondents using structured questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics and linear regression analysis. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between advisory services and the growth of women entrepreneurship, underscoring the importance of tailored support mechanisms for women-owned businesses. Recommendations include enhancing access to financial literacy and business management training, increasing awareness of advisory services, and fostering supportive networks for women entrepreneurs.
